Habanero Cafe Mexican Grill

I read the reviews before I ordered
The food matched what many of the reviews said.
Yes, the food was fresh. tomatoes, lettuce, beans, the meat, etc.
But also, yes, everything was very bland.
I recommend that the restaurant includes some homemade salsas, even if they only give tiny little packs like the Indian restaurants, with the burritos and the tacos.
I didn't eat them as there really was no flavor and I didn't have any sauces (hot sauces) at my place. The guacamole I ordered was homemade, I think, so that should be good. Only it also was very bland.
I am from California and had many Mexican friends.
They do cook this way, but they have ample salsas on the side to drizzle over everything,
But this restaurant did not offer salsas or lemon/lime wedges.
What salsa that was in the food was too minuscule to give any satisfactory flavor to the burritos and the tacos.
The delivery guy was super nice, though.

Do you have that fierce hunger for a giant burrito? Look no further! I ordered that spicy grilled beef burrito, I threw on some extras ya true true... when it got here and I opened it up I was like dddaaauuummm. Then I heard a knock on my door and I was like, who dat? It was the NYC zoning police come to tell me I needed a permit for such a large structure. THEN.... child services showed up and was like, sir there's rumors that you are in possession of a small child that doesn't belong to you and I was like naaaaaahh everyone chill chill this is just a burrito....

And get that spicy habanero salsa when you order this burrito, trust me... it's right.

Being that I grew up out on the West Coast I got to experience authentic Mexican food frequently and it is probably one of my most favorite I was shocked to find that the burritos were the same size of those out in Mexico and that the ingredients they even use pinto beans instead of the black beans that they use around the rest of New York I would order again but I would order something different because I love the whole entire Mexican cultural food

Every single item from here is delicious! I've ordered a bunch of times and every time it's been on time, hot, delicious, and most importantly correct! Now, I'm white, so my standards for Mexican food are pretty low but I have to say I really enjoy the food here, especially the flautas, enchiladas, burrito bowls, and burritos! Thank you Habanero!!

I love this place -- delicious, fresh, and each order is as good as I hope. Delivery guys always very professional and polite. They also follow my ordering quirks to the T and are generous with their portions. SOOOO good and if I hadn't gained 10 pounds the past two years would order from them more often. But a special treat.

I order from Habanero very often and I have never been disappointed. I have seriously ordered from this place so much and my order has only been a little off once. Nothing big at all. The chips were missing from my last order and I called to let them know and they were so apologetic and sent me the chips immediately and they also included a free dessert with it. That says a lot about a place. I always order the grilled chicken burrito bowl and it is always delicious. Usually when I find something I like at a restaurant it always seems to be prepared differently the next time I order it, but not here, it's always prepared the same and always great! I recommend this place to people all the time.

Based on the other great reviews I gave this place a try and I was not disappointed! The food was incredible--the guacamole is as good as they say, for real. I also got crunchy beef tacos and they were perfection.

On top of that, I had accidentally made my order for pickup instead of delivery and when I called they were extremely accommodating and agreed to deliver it without hesitation (even though my place is pretty far from them).

Will definitely be ordering again and I can't wait to try more of their amazing menu!

Great food, friendly delivery. Burrito and the nachos we're good. My only issue would be that the nachos we're super soggy...buy I don't blame the restaurant for it, because it takes a bit to deliver, and chips are difficult to keep crunchy when sitting under melted cheese and shredded chicken for the time it takes to deliver. They were still delicious. I'd probably walk down to the store itself though and order there if I want nachos in the future. They were good enough to where I'd go to them. =)

What a great experience! I really love this place. Our food came like 20 minutes early. Delivery guy was very friendly and nice. Everything was correct, fresh, hot, and beyond tasty. My fianc LOVED his quesadilla. I really appreciated the fact that I asked for black & pinto beans in my rice and they had no problem doing that for me. I still cant get over how huge the portions are here, its awesome. Great prices and wonderful service. Our new go to Mexican spot!

The food was great! We loved the grilled veggie burrito bowl, chips & guac, horchata and mango lemonade. I made a mistake entering my address which sent the delivery person to the wrong street. The restaurant and delivery person were both exceptionally kind about the mistake and were able to bring the food to me at my corrected address. It could have easily caused a problem for them (and was definitely my fault), so their kindness and understanding are so appreciated.
